Me and millions of others didn't win part of the $1.5 Billion power ball lottery. But I am glad to see that the winners were so spread out.
Tanzi played too along with the my sister's office. For both drawings. The one back when it was $1.3 and this one for $1.5.
I would have actually helped in fixing up Newark, at least the art district. After every bill related to my family was paid up both in the US and St.Kitts and Nevis and perhaps some Canadian ones. Our house back home would be fixed up some more, if not get a new lot and make a whole new one. :)
Yeah, If I had the money, I would build my own multi bedroom house for every one, well a large amount of use to stay at, at the same time. And no it won't be on the beach. You are just asking for flooding when you do that.
Oh well. Tuck those dreams away for another time. :)

Google Gave Me A Gift
Not bad ha? I almost wondered how they even knew. Then I realized that I was logged in and even had a circle profile with my birthday filled in.
Well there I go. One year older. Don't know how much wiser. But I'm for sure older.
Since I've added more people to my Facebook, since everyone was saying we had to try and stay in contact now that mom was gone, since she was doing it herself, I got a few extra well wishes from my Canadian family.
They check in a lot. For me. For normal people I guess it's normal. I got a nice text from Tanzi. She's well in Seattle. The guys upstairs sang me happy birthday when they came to pick up Kholie. Oh, My brother and his wife called me and sang me happy birthday over the phone. That was a surprise.
His daughter's birthday is at the end of the month. I think she's turning 3.
The largest powerball is going on right now. I think it's up to 1.3 Billion. I of course got a ticket to say I was in. I don't expect to win, but what if I did? :)

December Ended Badly
My mother died.
That is one of the reasons why I haven't updated here sooner.
She died around midnight Christmas night.
So much that could have gone wrong after that managed to happen, but in other aspects it wasn't so bad. As in, from the outside it didn't look so bad.
First we were going to cremate her since we didn't have that much money. None really. So my bother who came down from his base upstate took out a small loan to cover it from the army. Just shy of three grand.
Then we found out that mom's church didn't really approve of it, so my sister insisted on burying her after the viewing, which now tacked on another three through four grand more.
As you know, my sister and I moved out to NJ, so we were leaving most of what was going on with the funeral with my other sister who was in living with mom. Since she would be close to everyone else and the church.
We thought that she could do it. It wasn't like she didn't have people there to helper. From that statement you can correctly guess that she said she didn't have help and messed a lot of it up. I'm not going to go into details here, but the sister staying with me had a lot of damage control to do along with raising the money she needed to bury mother. The people who were part of the damage control program went to her, which is why she was dealing with it. and as for raising the money, our brother already did what he could, I can't get any money from anywhere, and the burial was something she really wanted to do.
I tried to talk her back into the cremation idea since none of us had any issues with it, but it could have been part of her dealing with mom passing, but she didn't want to go against what the church would have wanted for mom's body since she, mom, was such a big part of the church.
So now she owes about 4 people money and the burial was over a week after the the viewing after having to change funeral homes because the first one was trying to charge us $120 or so a day for just holding her body. We are getting letters from head stone makers and I'm sorting through paperwork to find out who she might have owed money to, accounts she has that needs to be closed and scanning photos that she and my other sister never got around to doing along with old documents.
I have to make it over to Brooklyn at least two more times in the near future. For some reason I have to go back to the church to tell them thank you, again, for some bizarre reason, but before that I have to go and pick through my mom's clothes for something that will fit me for going to the church. I don't want to do either even if I haven't shopped for anything to wear in almost 2 years.
I don't expect to get anything. Mom was a little shorter than me and smaller than me. I don't care if she brought things that were bigger than her size.
Ok, starting to feel a little depressed now.
Later.

I Seem to Have Missed a Few Things.
yeah, not posting even weekly will do that. Maybe I should do that. Post once a week since I really don't think my day to day normally has anything to write about. Then when something does happen I'm no longer in the habit of posting.
So, first thing I didn't post. That apt that I told you about months and months ago about? We took it. Or got it depending on how you look at it. So I live between Newark and Elizabeth and Irvinton, I think, in New Jersey now. I feel like posting my address, even though I don't know why. But of course I won't since I'm told it's a bad thing to do. :)
Next, the move was no where near how we thought it might go. It seems my sister down played how much stuff we had to move. Took way longer, and cost at least twice as much as they first told us. But we had to move then so we got extra from mom and I had to run between the home and the new apt, once most of it was packed so I would get here in time to have them put most of the stuff in the correct rooms.
My wardrobe was not one of those things. It was too big and too heavy to come up the stairs. My sister did not believe this until she almost got both of us killed trying to move the movers wrong. We then spent the rest of the night taking it apart and moving it to the second floor in peices. I slept in the living room for about 5 day and was busy for Judy over two weeks putting everything where I thought they should go.
About 6 days after we moved in we got our first house guest. Our brother, on his move from Hawaii to a base in in the Hudson valley, crashed with us for a week. He then left his things here while he and his wife took a two week cross the country trip before he had to report in. His little girl stayed at the in-laws.
She was suppose to stay here, but the land lord never thought to fix the floors of this place and you can hear people walking around above you, never mind a little 3 year old running around and playing. So after his first complaint, they decided it would be better if she spent time with her grandmother who wanted to spend time with her anyway.
The next few weeks I settled in. Found out the laundromat down the hill was really closed and the closest one was up a hill and 9 blocks away. After a while I printed up my resume. Got decently dressed, and tried to hand them out to managers. Most, like I expected, asked me to fill out the online application after I shook their hand and asked if they had any open positions.
I was about a week into that and waiting to see if I had any luck and got a call back when we entertained our next house guest. It was a co-worker of my sister's. In fact, she was suppose to move with us months earlier, but dragged her feet for months before backing out. She finally had it with where she was living and came to check the apt above us and the commute to work. I was now stuck in an earlier role that t had gotten away from. Babysitting. It was summer, she the child was with me all day and almost all night. They don't return from work until 8:30 - 9:15 pm.
In the beginning, they would walk up the hill 6 blocks to wait for a bus. The 39 actually. Then take that to Newark Penn to take the Path into Manhattan. Then walk about 15-20 mins to the office. If everything worked like clock work, it would take about 45 mins to an hour. In reality it's more like an hour 15 to an hour 30 mins and up.
That is one of the reasons why they started to change buses. Not that it welled with morning traffic jams. The 39 was unreliable at best on most mornings.
So then school started. I picked her up and realized that it was almost not worth the bus ticket, so I started to walk it. I went up the 6 blocks, turned right and walked across a bridge and 3ish blocks before turning right again and walking down a hill for almost 3 blocks to get to her school. I slightly resented doing it. I'm the girl who doesn't want kind remember?
Either way, I saw it as a way to get me out, give a little structure to my day and all that.
Then one rainy day when I was picking her up, a fool of a boy tried to pull off my wig. After I stopped him I should have just walked away, biput id didn't. He was trying to act tough, but ketch his distance as he called me names. When I got to close, he threw a stone at me and it cut my hand. It took a while to heal since had to use my hands. But lucky me, the next week the child's mother managed to get her picked up from the school and brought to the house.
Which I was grateful for since I didn't want to see that kid again, but now I'm just waiting for her to come home and make sure she doesn't break anything and eat something before her mom comes home.
That is the end of part one. Part two should be shorter. :)

Hey, it's cold out there
Was out yesterday handing in three applications to dollar tree. It took me hours upon hours.
Got home just after 10 pm. I was cold and hungry and my phone was dead. I fell asleep just after midnight I think. Woke up at 5ish and had something light to eat and two very hot cups of tea.
It's now 8 something for me and I'm going back to sleep again. I ach all over, and outside of my bladder waking me up, I'll most likely stay asleep until about 3pm. I know I'm already coming down with a cold. I was outside in 40 degree weather as I walked over a mile to my house. Later.
