Hi ya.

I'm getting off the rock. :) They gave my sister my visa so we are off to the New York around the middle of July so we can get Nika ready to start school in good order. I just have to get some more money for the third ticket. But I should be able to get it by then, even if I don't pay a bill or two. I can send the money down to pay them off later.

Ok guys, I needed addresses. Kel, G, Cat, AM, even Arthur and anyone else who wouldn't mind seeing me sometime next year. I need to get a job first to pay for all the traveling. *grins, grins* Oh, phone numbers too. Or just phone numbers if you just want to say welcome or such.

I'm going to have to pay that classmate thing that I signed up for years ago so I could get in contact with the people I went to school with in NY.

The odd thing is I'm not ready to go anyway. Granted, I don't have Ross to keep me here, and I didn't get such an important job that I feel like I'm leaving people I should stay and give a year or two to, but I'm old and settled now.

But I have to go. One, my mother really misses us, and I would like to see her again. I have to do a bit better than I'm doing now, and that needs schooling, and or a slightly better paying job, and with others to help pay the bills it should be a bit better.

I'm going to have to adjust to so much when I get back and I'm not a kid this time around.

I wonder how Aresh looks these days. He is the one person who I know is still in NY. He's a tree hugging friend of mine. I wonder if I have a phone number for him to give him a ring to let him know I'm coming back. It would be nice, but I'm sure I don't and the last time I tried to e-mail him he didn't answer back.

I was hoping to come up later in the year, that way I could get one of the new direct fights from here to NY. I hate getting off to get on again, but it can't be helped.

Jhodie liked Barbados. She got to do alot more than I did. I showed up with a twisted ankle and then I hurt my feet when I was there, so I didn't do as much walking around as I would have liked. But most of the placed wasn't as busy as it was when my sister went last week. I went during Christmas and New Years and they do nothing down there at that time. It must have been the first time that I was anywhere, when nothing was going on for Christmas. Oh well, at least Nika had fun. She went up and down the escalators as much times as she could I heard.

Well time for me to heading home. I don't want to be out when it's dark on an empty Sunday night.

See ya. – and I mean it this time. :)

Ya....

Ok, I'm trying to blog at home to cut down on taking up time when I get to my uncle's house or even the cafe later. I just remembered that my uncle's usb ports are in the back of the computer and his computer is low and kinda slotted in his desk. I don't want to go back there.

Well today was ok.

I spent my first night alone last night, and woke up late as always, but I had a more sounder sleep then I had the night before. I got up and looked for a few things to help with sending off Jhodie's early shots record. I ended up leaving the house at 8:50 or so, and I got to the clinic at 1 till 9, just to realize that I couldn't get a copy at that time because it was baby day. I don't know where else has this, but every Monday, and maybe some other day, a parent brings their newborn or child up the age of like 5 I think to the clinic to have them weighed and give them shots. The place was full. I just turned right back to catch a bus.

If I get to work before 15 past I'm ok. I think that I got there around 10 past, and it seemed that most of the higher up staff was late getting to work, or I just get there before them now that I think about it. Most of the days I'm there, I here them coming in and saying good morning. Oh well.

Well I had cleaned up most the area back in "my" section, and just cleaned up a few things outside before I went to the last two places that I really had left to fix up. Later I realize that I all need to fix up the front part by the casher. They a wall of mostly meds there, but it's a thin wall. Behind the first line for a few of them is just air, or fallen down things.

Before I got to that I had to get Komar to set the price for this thing that had been sitting on the floor from the day I got there. I didn't agree that it was the same as the other product by the same people, but he thought it was and gave it the same price. He's the boss.

Then I was told to move the chocolate bars back to the front. I have moved them over the side on a shelf because another cart had been placed there and we need the space for line and left carts and such. Well I moved most of it back to the front, but I had to leave some on the side, because they couldn't all fit. I had what was on the side and 6 boxes. He didn't know about the other two, or most of them would have fit. *grin*

We are currently selling off some Indian snack food from a company called "Garden" We have like 5 things from them. They aren't selling that well. Most people down here don't try new things, even if they are worth 99cents. The number of times I've hear, "I never heard of that yet." and then watch them, on occasion, throw it back I was happy that they didn't think I was one of them. Oh come one, try something, you may like it. Granted I try to let them know that some of them are hot, but most of them just want it to be sweet, or cheesy, or with coconut. Cheese? Does India even know what chesses is? I don't think they make cheese there. Do they? I would go check on line now, but I don't have that ability anymore.

Well I moved the bars, added more the set out snacks, and I thought that I found a nice little treat. In one of the boxes, there was a bag that wasn't like the others. Oohh. It said Cornflakes Mix. On the back it said that it had it, Corn Flakes, Roasted Spilt Gram, Vegetable Edible oil, Sugar, (this could be one of the sweet one) Dry Coconut, Peanuts, Cashew Nuts, Raisins... at this point I stopped reading and put it aside for me to buy.

I fixed  few displays where I was taking the bars from and threw out the boxes and put some carts up, then I paid for new snack. I was so happy to find it that I was so disappointed to find that it had something else in the bag. *bummer* Right box, wrong bag, right contents. Tasty Nuts. That was the box it was in, and that was what was in the bag. It's just roasted peanuts covered in like hot spices, and it's crusted on like a shell. Great. I didn't have enough water to all of it, so I cracked the shell off and just ate the peanuts. Ever so often I would eat part of a shell to get some taste to go long with the peanut.

Well I fixed up one of the two places I had on my list and I just fiddled with the other part until the casher came back from her lunch brake so I could go. I left about 2:30. Now before I explain how a hot dog stole $5 from me I'll update you on Jhodie.

Well, so far it seems that she found the place ok. She called to me slightly complain that I didn't tell her that taxes doubled as busses. I told her that they aren't true taxes and that I did tell her, she just forgot like I did since it was all the way back in December.

Well she got the place ok, she was second in line, and they didn't need to have her earlier records, and they got out of there around 10:23am. It seems that I just got one of the worst times of the year to go there. I was there until the afternoon I'm sure, I was 4th or 6th, I'm not sure, and I had to walk like 1/4 of a mile to the place because I took the wrong bus that day. Lucky her.

She had been trying to call me since she got out, but wasn't able to get me until I texted her around noon or so. They tried to go to the movies, but found out that they were way to early. I didn't even remember until she called back in like 30 mins to let me know that the place was closed. I think that they don't open until 5 or so. So I was trying to tell her though the static that she couldn't get a bus from there to go back to the guest house or to the supper market that I told her about. She went back to the terminal and then called to tell me that I didn't tell her this and I didn't her that about the place. It seems that the place has a lot more going for it now, then it did when I was there. At least I was able to get her on the right bus back to the guest house.

I told her that I would call her back tonight.

Ok, I now go off for lunch. I went up the Palm Cafe and I got an orange and carrot drink and had a saltfish pizza along with a oatmeal raisin cookie. Well the drink was only 30% juice, the pizza slice was $4.50 and peppery, which I remembered just before I took my first bite. They make stuff with too much pepper down here. The cookie I had no issue with. I was still hungry, since I didn't eat breakfast. I also had to go get some aspirins. So I walked up to the new City Drug Store, and got the aspirins and looked around a bit more, and picked up a newspaper. When I came out I saw a hot dog cart. Now I know that this chart has more then just hotdogs. So I stopped to asked, and from about 5 things long with cookup I think, or was it goat water, I picked a hotdog thinking $3 was fine to send since I just got ride of $6+ for my pills and the news and $8+ down at the cafe, but when it was all done I then asked how much it cost to to have her tell me that it was $5. $5?! Great. Paid up, walked back to the cafe, ate it and read a few things until I went back to work.

I got back to work to find two things. One, yogurt for $1 each, I got 4, and to hear that a lady came looking for me. A lady?? Ok.

I went back to work, then about 30 mins in Ms Cummberbatch came by. She was the lady it turnes out. She was a bit surprised that no one know who I was. I told her that most people don't know my name yet. Well we talked, and it seems that Ayo sent her to me, so I could help her build a website for class. She was taking some courses, and part of one of them is to build a website. So she needed help and found me. Cool. I have a gig. She is picking me up and paying me for my help. I don't expect to get much out of this, but at least I might be able to pay somebody the $200 on my before I cut into it before pay day on Thursday.

Well the rest of my was ok. I was most re-arranging racks and such to have it look like there was some logic to the whole thing. I didn't finish it before I left, but it's just about there, I just more or less just have to find space the stuff that I had to take down to make the place look decent. I even found a few things that I didn't even know was there. As if the cockroach that was living between the batteries that I found on Saturday wasn't enough, at least this wasn't a living thing but something people was asking for.

I passed a fender bender outside of KFC, I got a bus up from there, and I read my paper was it was the bus terminal waiting for more passengers. Some old lady that I didn't know came up and said hi to me. I'm sure she thought that I was my sister.

I more or less came home to eat, and to tape StarGate for Jhodie and Nika. Food I got, more or less, and StarGate, that was off a bit too. It seems that they were having alot of technical problems tonight, besides the two times it cut into StarGate, it was out 2 other times with in the hour before StarGate started.

Well I called Jhodie up around 9:30 to find out that she was at the movies. Well. I'll told her to call me when she got back to the house. Oh, speaking of calls. My uncle called me to see if I was doing ok. It was a nice thing. Lynn called me too. Her mouse stopped moving. *grin*.. I told her to restart her computer. She was going to call me back if it didn't work. She hasn't called me back so I guess it worked.

Ok, I'm written this up, and I'm going to end up blogging it from the cafe. I don't want to go behind my uncle's computer. I'll do a quick in and out, and not spend more then $2.

Oh, I did forget one thing. Ms Cummberbatch is picking me up after work tomorrow at 5pm. So I have to check to see when House is coming on so I can set the VCR to tape it so I don't miss it.

Well that's it.

Night.

Hi ya... (peeking around the door)

Ya, I'm late in checking in.

Well I didn't want to bug my uncle too much, and I forgot that I could blog from my e-mail account. The last time I tried at a cafe, it sent me to the blogger place in another langauage, and I couldn't spend the money to find out how to get it to be in english.

Well updates.

Today I saw my sister off. She got her letter from Barbados, and today she left. We spent about 3 weeks getting things together for her to leave and have just about everything. We didn't get a few things done until the last few days, and we still missed one. We are hoping that they won't ask for it. She doesn't have her childhood shots record. We are hoping that they won't ask for it. She has a record of what she got later, and we hope that they would say that she couldn't have gotten boosters if she didn't get the first one.

Next, I've been down at Bay Road Ram's for like three weeks now. The frist week I was hoping to get a job somewhere else because they sounded so happy when I applied and showed up and such. And I checked back and delayed my trainning for chasher for this job, and I didn't hear back from them. I was mad. They just about tracked me down so I could come in for an interview, then didn't call me back to let me know that I didn't get the job. And they got my hopes up too, and not only mine, but Jho's too.

Well after I gave up on the job, she called them find out what was going on. She called as me. Oh, we have to send you a letter, they told her. They have to send me a letter? They could walk it to my house, faster then the mail man would get it to me, never mind a phone call. *not happy*

Either way, I'm happy at Rams. I'm getting paid for something I was more or less doing for years for free.

At first I was just price checking. He (Komar) wanted me to check the prices of everything in the store, against the price that would come up when they were scanned at the casher, and check a price list to see if it was also the uptodate price on both the item and in the system. The first part I could do fine. It's when it came to checking the price sheet I had a few issues. After a week I told him that I needed updated price sheets. Some went back months, some went back to last year, some were evern older, and then the order. Dear Gref!!

So he said that he would get me updated lists, and I made a list of all the sheets and when they were dated, to help out and then just found something else to do until that was done. That was two or so weeks ago.

I ended up giving myself the job of fixing up and cleaning up the Health and Beauty Aid Section. It was a mess back there. I still come out to put carts away and take items back that were left behind and I still price check a few things now and again and make notes of times that were not in the system at all.

I've gotten comments on how well I had back there looking. *smiles*

When I fist started working there, people were asking me where I was from. Every now and again, someone asks me where I'm from, if they don't ask me where my father is. I think that they asked me more about my accent more at Bird Rock Rams, then at the Bay Road. I think it's because more people in town know about me. Not know me, since I didn't go anyway, but know about me. They've seen me walking around and heard me talk and they still call me English. *rolling eyes*

Ok, the sun is setting, I should go home. Not that I have much to go home too now. But I do have to put some money to my sister's phone. She talks to more people than I do, and she my have to call a few people for all I know.

Oh, speaking of which, she packed a few things in her carry on that she should not have. I had to walk back up the hill to get them because they made her leave behind her lotion and bug replelant, and hair gel and perfume.

Well I came over to hep my uncle with a few things and then I checked my mail, now I'm sending off my blog. Speaking of my uncle, he took us to the airport, and he said that he couldn't come back for me, but he still made it back in time to pick me up before I left the airport for the second time. Nice. She he bought me right here, which saved me about $4 in bus fair.

Well I have to go now, I think I should at least go to turn on the lights in the house.

Well take care, I'll try and check in sooner.

Oh....

Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there who deserve it.

I have a girl named Perl in my family. She doesn't deserve it. You know about that.

Bye. *grin*
