I am now n boaed. It didn't take 30 exta mins after all. ... So, who got th new iPhone today? :) My current view. Shame I didn't have the 10:30 bus ticket like I thought. I saw so little of Philly. :(

Guess what? Luck was just waiting for me to hit send on my last so it could run out on me. The bus is coming. It's just 30 mins late. *big fat grin*

How late wa I? I was over an hour late. By the time I got here I had under 40 mins to pay for my late arrival, which was $5, go back to the station to use the bathroom, find out that it was close, panic, found out there was another bathroom, use it, grab a sandwich, as I'm running out of the station to make sure that I'm here 10 mins before my bus leaves. Now I'm texing as I wait.

Great! Just great! I'm about to miss my bus. I thought that I had booked a later time. But as I'm going out the door at 5:46 I look at my ticket and it says that I depart at 6:30. :( but I feel I have a chance when I check the train time table and it says that one will be at this station at 6:15. So I'm here, but the train isn't And a second announcement has come over the speakers saying it will be late Due to weather. A small storm came through like an hour ago and it took down some trees somewhere. Not happy.

This is not a duck. :(

Very odd. I had to buy two kinds of fairs to get around. One foe the tain then one for the bus and any "subway" and trollies I come across. I kinda like the station that I'm in. It reminds me of alot of old films that that had shots of internal elevated open steam trains. :)

I am on a Megabus again and I'm off to Philly this time. But I'm only there for on night. On the way here I saw a lady all out collapse and have a fit. But she wasn't alone. Two or so people were there to help her. I think they were strangers. She was asian and one person was a white guy and the other was a black older lady. The lady was fanning her and the guy was either trying to keep her from falling out of the seat they had gotten her to and getting her to drink some water. I think there was someone else, but I didn't see them. Well be in Philly in 2 hours. Later. Random photoo from 10 ave and W 40 St.

Work?

I seemed to have gotten a one day gig. It was on Sunday. I was a monitor for an ACT test at a school on the tip of Manhattan at a place called Northeastern academy at 532 West 215th Street. On the map it looks so open and I expected green. It looked like the Bronx.

All those old ideas of the Bronx. Industrial, crowded and everything was so closely packed and low, that it felt dirty even though I don't remember seeing any trash. The river was another disappointment. Somehow, if you look down the river it seemed to have shrunk to half itself after it passed under the bridge. Very odd.

As for the test I had to be there early. I got an hour's sleep before I was up and getting ready to leave at 5:30am. I didn't realize that there was no express service so it took me longer to get there than it normally would. So an hour and a half later I got there and then found the stairs that reminded me of Seattle. I didn't stop to take any pictures because I was trying to breath on my way up and also because I didn't know how much prep they would need me to do and I didn't want to be too late even though I got there just after 7am.

I found three kids already there. Two were on standby so they came to make sure and I guess the other was a friend of one of them.

Well once we were inside I was one of the few early ones to show up. I was showed and explained stuff then I was then given the others to explain things too even though it was my first time there.

Once everyone was in the right place and we knew what we had to do, they let the kids in and we checked them in, (ticked their name off a list once they showed us two things). We bumped into a few problems but once they were cleared up we started the tests. It was later than we expected. We thought that it would have started at 8 but I think we started 30 mins later than that and everyone just stayed in the gym were we checked them until they were told they could go to their assigned classrooms.

We had kids from all over show up for this test. First off, this test was being held in an SDA school. It was on Sunday so that kids of SDA and Jewish families would be able to take the test since the normal test dates are on Saturday.

So it was no surprise when a lot of the IDs were for kids in Jewish schools. Of course not everyone was there for religious reasons, but most were. We got kids from all over the city. I didn't see anyone from Staten Island, but I got a few from NJ, MS and this girl that came from Canada. I held her suitcase for her while she took her test.

They were rather friendly. I hated the shirt I was wearing but halfway through checking them in, I started to think that the boys couldn't help but look down my shirt, but at one point I had to lay my hands on the table. My back was hurting me.

So once the students were sent off to their rooms a was relocated to the hallway for the late ones. We only got like one or two late students. Then I was called in the office to give them info so I could get paid for helping out. Then I was sent to get everyone else to fill in their information. So I first went down to the basement, bypassed the first floor where I was 'helping' to monitor the students in the gym and went up to the second, third, forth and fifth floors to get the sheets filled out. I even took over look over a class while someone went on a break for 10 or so mins.

I was a bit happy and surprised that it was rather easy. I was just concerned about what I would do if I actually caught someone cheating. Lucky me I didn't really have that issue.

Once I had gotten everyone else's information I went back to the gym to get the same from the guy I was helping out. He... needed the helped at times. When I came in I gave him a break, he filed out his part of the sheet and gave it into the office and I took over reading the instructions for him. He wasn't that loud or clear for some reason. I'm happy I'm a person who reads and writes.

You know what I mean. I've never read something/anything thing because I had to. I'm a reader. I'm the girl that looked at my 'friend' from Boston in disbelief as she said that she couldn't watch Jeprdy and her sister questioned my will to read a book while they were getting their hair done.

That reminds me. While I was out with her on Friday, I told her to if she had to go to the bank I would go with her. So while she was waiting for the person she wanted to see to become free, I took out my book and started to read. Then she was called and went back there to talk business. Well I was doing fine and reading a way. Other people showed up and one sat next to me while we all waited for something.

My 'friend' then comes back out and gives me a beauty mag to read. I told her that I already had a book and lifted it to show her incase she couldn't see it for some reason. Then told me that it looked boring and went back the person she was working with. I couldn't believe it. I felt insulted. I felt insulted on my half of my book. I looked around stunned. The looks on other people's faces showed that she shocked them too. The mag so offended me at that point I all but threw it unto another table where it wouldn't be in my sight.

Then she came back and was actually surprised that I wasn't reading it. :(

Back to the test thing.

Well I brought up the reading thing because when I was going around I had to wait for one of them to read off information for the start of another part of the test and it was almost as if she was just reading words. Almost, the guy in the gym was just reading words and he wasn't that loud. I'm surprise that they knew what to do when I heard part of what he was saying. I didn't get it.

So I was more than happy to take over that job and announcing as time ticked by in 20 min slots until we got down to the last 5.

We had two phones go off while the test was in progress and one student didn't stop when the time was up.

But other than it, it was ok. Oh, one question about using a calculator for the science part. The people who came up with the guild lines did not say that they could use one, so they couldn't. Considering that they were learning to do this with a calculator in school, I thought it was unfair but I couldn't do anything about it.

We didn't void any tests in my group, but at the end of the day, one lady voided two in her set of kids. So they will have to it. I'm not sure were, but I don't think there.

I started to nod off at 1pm I think. That is when I was sent home after helping to sort out most of the exams and helping with the count. You don't need to know.

So I asked about getting to a RadioShack. They have this sale and I needed to ask a question. I ended up getting a ride over the bridge into the Bronx. I got a no to my question then I caught the train back. By that time the express was running so I was home in like 45 mins.

I then slept most of the next day. I did come home and eat, but after that it starts to get fuzzy. :)

Other than that, it's just been me and my stories. I think I've gotten to the end of that story I got from someone else. I'll see if they approve or want me to add one one more.

Oh, I booked my trip to Philly last night. It will be $8 to go I think, and $7 to come back, I think also. I intend to see more this trip than Boston. I'm not sure I'll have a philly cheese stake sandwich or not.

Later.

Have You Heard ?

iphone 4

I’m very happy to hear this news, then I was even more impressed when I saw or read what it can now do. I almost wish that my mom had put off getting an iPhone until now, but the other person needs an iPhone for the trick it does to work. Click on the pic to see what I’m talking about.

I’m just writing over on this side of the world. I need to get going on my stories. I’ve made way on my newest story. I worked on Inuyasha yesterday. I may just get back to my book tonight or work on Inuyasha I’m not sure. But I’m still here working on Love’s Love right now. I just stopped to check my mail.

BTW, Love’s Love is the name of my newest story.

Why is it called a French Letter?

I'm sure I asked myself this question more than once, but I wanted to really find out why this time. Yes you can blame the book I'm reading. Which is, btw, "Phyllida and The Brotherhood of Philander".

Either which way. The answer to my question is found here along with a bit more. :)

Don't I tell you the most interesting things. :) "

Later.

The French Letter Explained.
I'm home! :)

Now I'm getting ready to leave Boston. All in all, I'm mostly glad I came. I'll be in NYC in a little over 4 hours once we get on way at midnight. Later.

I admire the cat's abilty to say no to her. Granted I did the same thing to save myself at on time, but the cat did it much better. :) Don't think that I'll be on line to blog until I get back to NY since I want to forget most of today. Later. :)

Do you see that white guy holding the black guys arm? He is the oldest, if not the only, boys scout that I have ever seen. He actualy helped him across the street. That was very, very decent of him. :)

Multimedia message

Do you see that? It's a starbuck's sign from the inside. The fumes...the fumes!!

He got back to me

Somewhere along the lines of communication he ended up on my blog instead of on my phone.

I sent the same message about loosing him at the station to him and the blog at the same time. When he replied it ended up on the blog. That's the first time I've seen that. Maybe he saw the e-mail address and that he could send me a reply there.

So since this has already been up for so long and I'm sure is cached somewhere I'm just going to have it make sense now. If he wants me to take it down I will.

------
say hey

hey, sorry about that, I left w/out saying any goodbye...coz i'm kinda tired of my luggage and want to get to the hotel as soon as possible...anyway enjoy your trip :) I'm on my way back to NYC.
------

So see? He isn't a bad guy after all. And here I thought he ditched me because he could read my mind. :) I'm not confessing to anything.

Later.

(the date you see on this post is when he sent it. I added the bits around it on the 6th of June at 3:47pm.)

I found internet...

and a laptop is connected to it.

It seems that the girl who doesn't like computers has one. I was so surprised she had one, but not so surprised that she has been using it for 7 or so months without an anti-virus program.

I saw it all day but I just asked to use it. She also has updates that more than likely didn't even realize were there waiting for her.

But I should get on with saying what has happened in the last 24 or so hours.

Let's see. I found a guy. Ya, and it was before I even left NY. I found him in my line for the bus ride here. I'll post his pic later. Yes, I got his pic. Shame I lost him. He has my name, and my number and I told him he could find me on face book, so I may hear from him again, but I found him like 4-7 days before he goes back to Korea. Ya, I found a very non-local.

I talked with him for a little over an hour an we laughed an were ok with each other, or I wouldn't have gotten his e-mail address and pic, but once we were on the bus it all went quiet. Yes I sat next to him the whole ride. I almost left to give him more room to sleep, but the bus was rather full, and I didn't feel like walking around on the bus while it was moving. I was hoping for a pit stop, but it didn't happen.

We got here at 6 am after leaving NY at 1:30 am.

I used the bathroom, lost the boy/guy, then found something to eat. It was a decent breakfast. I ate at Cosi. I was kinda surprised and happy to see it at the Food Court. It was in the South Station next to the trains. I only found it because I followed the guy that far before going to the bathroom. I thought that we were going to have breakfast before hanging out before my friend came to pick me up. But it didn't turn out that way. I think I sent in a message saying that. I also sent it to him so he kinda knew what happened to me if he wanted to know.

Well, I decided to look around after I ate and found the subway. It's not that big of a system. The stations are nice, some better than others, but the trains themselves seem really old to me. They didn't look like NY's ofcourse, but that is not why I said they look old.

Well, I sent my friend a text asking her if she had a car. I hadn't a clue if she had a car here or not, and I was looking at getting a pass for the transit system here. She never got back to me on that really. I walked out and walked down the street a bit while staying on the same street so I could find my way back to the station so it would easy for her to find me. I got some q-tips, took some pics and took my time with the walk and hoped that it wouldn't rain. I didn't bring my umbrella. I forgot my towel and the cake on the table. :( And here I thought that I had packed well.

I got back to the station and decided to stay there until she came for me instead of walking around or taking a bus or something to see what I could for my first day here. The bag was heavy and my shoes were starting to hurt. Then found out where her brain was, and it wasn't here. Over a week ago I started sending her messages through face book so she knew what I was doing, when I was showing up and asking permission for staying another night.

She didn't know, she said that didn't know or forgot that I was coming today. She called me just as I was going to the subway 10:15pm the night before. I then called her back once I was at Penn Station and left her a voice message that I was waiting for the bus, and that it was leaving at 1:45am and that I'll see her when I see her since I told her in the face book message that she didn't have come out and get me so early, just come and get me when she woke up and that I would just hang out in town until then.

It was after I told her where she could find me when she was ready to come and find, she called me back and asked me when I got to Boston. I some times wonder how she gets on at work.

Well, she said that she would take too long to come and get me and that I should come to the house and no, she didn't have a car. I was here in less then 30 mins. Once I got her directions. This is when I realized how short the subway is. She was kinda surprised that I found my way there rather easily. I don't expect her in NY anytime soon, but then she said that she doesn't like big cities.

Well, I think you saw the pic of inside her house. It's nice. It wasn't what I expected and the ceilings are low, but I'm not that tall, and I don't have to get use to it much. She showed me around. She is very proud. She had done alot of work on the place. She said when she walked into this house it was stuck in time. She had to pull down wallpaper from all over the house, she had tile put down in rooms, she had all the rooms painted n nice colours. Orange, yellow, blue and such. She had her basement finished up today along with the closet in her bedroom.

I got some oj and an english muffin and then I got tired and went to take a nap in her room. Oh, ya. I was told that I would be getting to use her guest bedroom while I was here and I get here and find out that it was being used. Some family member is staying with here with her little baby boy and she is like 4 months away from having another child and I think the baby is just over a year old. I won't say anymore about that. She is not my family for me to be talking about her.

Well I was taking my nap and my friend came and woke me up and I found out I fell asleep on my tummy which hurt my back, but she wanted me to go with her to the hair dresser. I got an apple before we left. Her sister and her friend came by and her friend had the car and drove us there.

I don't really think that I want her friend to drive me anywhere again. I can say this because she held my life in her hands and I'm very grateful that nothing happened while I was there. She drove most of the time with just one hand. At times she had no hands on the wheel. How can you people do that? Then she was talking on the phone and looking away from the road. And This was done in a hard down pour that flooded streets and downed trees because of how hard the rain fell.

I really hope that she isn't asked to drive us anywhere again if so I will have to say something, and she may not like me after that, but I will like to go home alive.

Well we got back, wet and alive and with out a dent, and my friend did this odd thing about not getting out in the rain with her newly done and cut hair. She's still gushing over it. I'm not sure if she can pull off the younger look, but she get's the childish act down. Annoyingly. I'm remembering everything that I forgot about her.

You know, you meet someone, you get a feel for them, but over all you seem to like them, then time goes by and for some reason you decide to hang with them again and you remember what you should have to have thought twice about spending time with them. She likes me and over all she is a good person, I just for got how she is at times.

Well, where was I? Ya, the rain. Well, we in time made it inside. I got wet, but I also got some food. Some pepper must have spilled onto my plate, because at one point I couldn't breath. And it was just after I told her that I didn't want any. I told her friend that for a number of years I grew up fearing scotch bonnets. That's a pepper incase you didn't know.

So I was up until 8 when I had to to bed again, but this time I got a gift. The girl who is staying here decided to go somewhere for a while. She said that she will be back on Sat. Great. I get a real bed for the two nights I'm here. I'm not sure what time on Saturday she will be back, but at least I won't be sleeping on the couch.

Well, I'm up again as you can see. I was very happy to sleep until the morning but she came and work me up around 11pm I think. She was lonely I think. She's gaga over her cat, who now does not lay next to her on the couch and she wanted me to look over something she wrote to a guy. I not sure what that is all about. I can't follow how she thinks too much.

But tomorrow, today actually, should be a bit better. She are suppose to hang out and see places and catch a movie. We won't be really able to hang out on Saturday either it seems. I found that out that by reading her message to the guy. She said that she had to work, but earlier she didn't say anything when I said that we didn't have to do anything today since we had Friday and Saturday to do stuff. So I may be on my own for that day. I'm not sure how that day is going to work out yet. I didn't want to take my bag with me until I was going to catch the bus home and I may not have too. I'll see.

Well, she has been asleep for almost an hour now I think while I type this whole thing up. I will not be reading this over. I know I suck, but I want to get back to bed, but I can feel that I'll be reading until I fall asleep. I'm kinda a wake now, but I can't sit on this computer until she realizes that she should be in bed.

Besides, I should let this thing install it's last update then get back to my kinda nice and finish up her pretzels while I wait. :)

I have arrived. It looks like I'll be at her house for awhile today which is fine by me since my feet hurt. I made my way over to her place which is barely in Boston. Later.

I have landed, I lost the guy I thought I was going to have breakfat with, but I'm good. A little tired, but good.

Can I say that I'm impressed? Yes, I'm standing outside of Penn Station an it looks like the bus is here to take me to Boston. But since we aren't set to leave until 1:45am, I don't think we get to board yet. Later. BTW no internet where I am going so it will just be phone posts until I get to NYC Saturday night. Later.

My Luck Has Already Peaked It Seems

I got my tickets at $8.50 and $6 each, and that was it. Rain is coming in and will make the next few days very wet. Then another day was tacked on to my visit so I could get the $6 return ticket. Then I started saying up till sunrise on a fluke. The first day I had an upset stomach and lying down doesn't help and even makes it worst.

The next day I just ended up staying up late since I woke up late. Then last night my sister came in here asking me for help with a few things. Computer things. When that was all done, it was once again sunrise, but I didn't get to crawl into bed until just before 8am.

Now, today as I wake up I find out that my cycle is here. This is where I saw the last bit of my luck starting to fade. I thought I picked this week to go to Boston because it was before my cycle. That it would be warm by now. The days were chosen because it lined up with her days off.

What else is going to go wrong? I now fear for my luggage on this trip.

Fortunately or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it, I won't be taking my laptop since it's keybo0ard is messed up. So I won't be packing it and the USB keyboard for the trip to make myself even more of a target.

Now I'm starting to feel the pain from my cycle and it's started to rain. Great, just great.

At least my whole week wasn't a wash. I got some writing done on both my stories. I helped put up a new screen in the bathroom and I paid some bills to reduce some of the debt that is under my name.
