20 WAYS TO MAINTAIN A HEALTHY LEVEL OF INSANITY

1. At lunch time, sit in your parked car with sunglasses on and point a
hair dryer at passing cars. See if they slow down.

2. Page yourself over the intercom. Don't disguise your voice.

3. Every time someone asks you to do something, ask if they want Fries with that.

4. Put your garbage can on your desk and label it "IN".

5. Put decaf in the coffee maker for 3 weeks.. Once everyone has gotten over their caffeine addictions, switch to espresso.

6. In the memo field of all your checks, write "for smuggling diamonds".

7. Finish all your sentences with "in accordance with the prophecy".

8. Don't use any punctuation.

9. As often as possible, skip rather than walk.

10. Order a Diet Water whenever you go out to eat - with a serious face.

11. Specify that your drive-through order is "to go".

12. Sing along at the Opera.

13. Put mosquito netting around your work area and play tropical sounds
all day at work.

14. Go to a poetry recital and ask why the poems don't rhyme.

15. Five days in advance, tell your friends you can't attend their party
because you're not in the mood.

16. Have your co workers address you by your wrestling name, Rock Bottom.

17. When the money comes out at the ATM, scream "I won! I won!"

18. When leaving the zoo, start running towards the parking lot yelling,
"Run for your lives, they're loose!!"

19. Tell your children over dinner "due to the economy, we are going to
have to let one of you go."

20. And the final way to keep a healthy level of insanity: share this to
someone to make them smile and laugh.

Its called therapy.

I'm off to have my hair hot combed.

Today I ran a bit late getting to training because of my hair. I was suppose to get it hot combed last night, but it didn't happen, and I had to do something with my hair when I should have been walking out the door. But it was ok, I wasn't that late, and I called ahead to let them know that I was going to be a little bit late.

I was so tired today because I stayed up to wake up mommy. I left right after formal "training" was over. I could have stayed and hung out and see how things were done. But I know that I wasn't going to be any good to anyone including myself.

I came home and I was cold, and I was starting to fall asleep before I could get my shoes off.

Well I'm out. My sister just called to start my hair.

Oh... thanks to Misty for the list. :)

I survived the trip it seems.

As in, I survived the ride. On the way way back we had to switch drivers. The one we had was falling asleep it seems. The sad part was, I didn't even notice. When he did move the van oddly, I would look and I would just see him talking on the phone, or talking to the girl next to him, or messing with the radio. The one time I didn't look up was when he was falling asleep.

I got there, to the van that morning, quite one time. I was told that two others came before me, and they went off some where. One really went to get a money order, I don't know where the girl went to.

We had a full van when four more showed up. We were told that a coaster bus was going to be taking us up there, but it was just a van that held 11 people not including the driver. While we were trying to figure out what to do with the extra people. One of the girls, the first one that showed up after we were full, came in her cousin's car, and she was waiting there while the driver tried to call someone for help. Then as the other three showed up, they were sent over to her car to get out of the cold, while phone calls were being made.

In the end, one girl who was already in the bus said that she came in a car, and the driver asked her is she would mind driving the others up there. She said she would do it. He would pay for the gas and the tolls.

There was no light so we couldn't study until the sun came up in about 3 and half hours. I slept on and off for the whole trip, but I did try to read as much as could once the sun was up.

We were almost late getting there. I like the city a whole lot better. Up state is so spread out and drab. It took us a while to just find the street that the testing building was on. We ran from the van to the building to be seated in time to take the exam.

I'm very upset with myself for some of the questions I got wrong. I have no idea if I passed or not. But I don't want to go back up there to take another test if I don't have to. I may be sent back up there to take the test again if I let on that don't really think that I passed. I don't know which felling is heaver. Me being upset at myself for the questions that I got wrong, or the real feeling that I got so many wrong that I failed.

On the way back it snowed a little bit. I thought that we were doing better time then on the way up. But we lost all that time when I got closer to city. First we went into another state other then Jersey, then when we got into Jersey, we couldn't get of the turnpike. Then we stopped by a pit stop and every got out of the bus. It was the first time that everyone got out of the van since we ran to take the exam. It seemed to have woken everyone up. Everyone started talking and stuff on the ride into Manhattan and out of Jersey. Then when  we go the tunnel, I could have walked into it faster then it took us to get to the mouth of the tunnel. I'm sure we lost over half and hour just sliding along with traffic. By the time we made it into Brooklyn it was going for 8pm.

I got an odd text message. It was a short message from 907. I hadn't a clue what any of that was, and I even called up t-mobile to ask them if they could tell me where the message came from or what 907 was. They couldn't help me. All she could tell me was that if I wanted it to stop, just text stop to the number. I wasn't upset, I just wanted to know where it came form and what it meant.

Well I got a phone call from rapid reality this afternoon saying that my training starts tomorrow at 11am. I missed the call, and heard this from the voice message they left.

I have to go heat up dinner and grill some chicken to go with it. It's all left overs.

Night.

I'm off To Rochester, NY

Why am I going up state at 2am? Yes, my bus is leaving at 2am I'm told. I'm leaving the house at 12:30am to make sure that I'm there on time. I will not be labeled as the one that kept the bus back from leaving on time.

Well I'm trying for my real estate licence. I'm 2/3's of the way finished. I've completed the required the amount of hours of class needed. I've passed the exam at the end of the classes. I got a much higher score than I thought I would. I really didn't think that I was going to pass, but I passed really well. So now I don't feel that nervous about the state exam. That is where I'm off to now BTW. But I'm still studying, if you can call it that. I got too relaxed after passing the first test, but I have cracked the book since yesterday to go over a few things. It's mostly for the stuff that I fell asleep in class over .

The test is at 9am, and incase anything happens on our way up there, there is another one at 1pm. We should be back in the city by 5pm.

Wish me some level of luck. I think that I still need it. They have 8 exams that they use, and I hope I get the one that covers just what I know. I would love to get between none and 5 wrong. Not that it matters that much once I pass. You aren't told by how much you pass or fail. Just that you pass or fail.

Well see ya.

How Long Has It Been?

I know that I posted something for the month already, just nothing since Friday at least.

First off, my birthday turned out ok. I now know that I don't like TGI Friday. The waiter was more interested in talking with my sister-in-law. Phillys asked for an alcoholic drink. There wasn't any alcohol in it, and I wouldn't really call it a drink to start out with. One stake showed up bleeding and was sent back. My first order was completely wrong, and was sent back. Then I had to send back what I really asked for, because I wasn't told that it was half made out of jalapeno peppers. I couldn't eat more than one bite of it. We didn't leave a tip, then went to see a movie.

I watched National Treasure 2. I liked it. It was so loud. Then when I came outside, everything seemed so bright. When I got out of there, and called Phillys and Jhodie to see where they were, it was already after 1 am. As we were heading to the subway, Phillys decided to head over to BBQ's to get something. I got my new combo. Tempura and chili. Phillys got some chicken something, and I don't think that Jhodie got anything.

We got home like an hour and a half later. We had to take the local all the way from 42nd St or so.

Earlier, we went shopping for some new skirts and pants to go with the tops I got in NJ. I got about 4 or so. I already forgot, since some of what I tried on went back.

We were suppose to leave earlier than we did, but I was under the impression that we weren't going anywhere until sunset. Phillys and mommy got into a small fight over that. As SDA, you aren't suppose to do anything between sunset Friday and sunset Saturday that isn't God related. So when we were growing up, the tv was turned off before sunset for us to welcome the Sabbath. We would read the bible or read our book for Sabbath school. Most of the time we were just sad/upset and went to bed. Then the next day we would feel sick so we wouldn't have to go to church and watch tv. My mom says that she doesn't remember us pretending to be sick to stay home. I knew she knew some times back then. She would say that it was the devil keeping us from going to church. No, it was a kid to didn't like hearing about how we were going to die and all that stuff. Once in a while I didn't mind going back to church in the afternoon for Pathfinders. It's like Brownies or Cub Scouts, just heavy on religion with all those other actives thrown in.

Either which way, the point I was trying to get at, was that here was Phillys who was going to go shopping before sunset. Ya, we aren't suppose to do any shopping or cooking on Saturday. I bring up cooking because I started to make some oatmeal cookies on Friday, and ofcourse it was dark. The sun sets at 4:30. Mom told me not to do any baking on Sabbath. That cooking thing is just up in the air, and a little wrong, but I didn't fight it completely. I just finished mixing up everything then put it up in the fridge. I had Jhodie bake them for me on Monday.

Speaking of Monday, I stated classes. I got there on time, I got everything settled, and such. I paid for my book, $40. During the second part of the day I paid $1 for one of their high lighters. I was thinking of getting a set from OfficeMax, but I just wanted to go home so I spent the dollar. I spent more than I wanted on lunch. But I had $10 on me and felt so rich. So I spent half of it on a drink and a turkey sub.

Monday and Tuesday I sat next to the same people, but one didn't come back from lunch yesterday and today he wasn't there. I showed up "late" today so I didn't get my seat that I was using before. It also seems that after lunch my body starts to shut down and I fall asleep. Tonight I'm going to bed around midnight if not sooner. I was so out of it for the last half of the day today. I don't even want to know what I looked like, but it was cold, and I tend to hibernate if it's too cold for me.

Oh, Rapid Realty has talked to us a bit for two days now. They are going to take us up to Rochester to take the state exam this Tuesday. We have to be at the office for 2am. It's a 5 hour trip. We are aiming for the 9am test time, but incase anything goes wrong we have a 1pm test time we can take. They seem to be very willing to help us do this, since they are branching out and need agents.

I think it might work out. I just have to learn how to study and cram at the same time. The school's test is "harder" as in, it has more questions, then the state exam. The school's exam is this Saturday. Ya.

Well, I'm going to have a nap now, so I don't fall asleep while I'm trying to study, then study tonight. I realized that I may know more than I think I did, because I took some of the end of the chapter questions while I was awake today, and I knew most of them. They were from yesterday. I just have to go over that last chapter or 2 from today that I wasn't really awake for, and maybe look at the next chapter, and I'll be good.

Today was the first time I took the train all the way there. I'm not doing it again unless I was late like today. It hurt my hip somehow. I rather take the bus. I get dropped off, 3 buildings from the school. The train drops me off at 17th St. The school is between 20 and 21st St and a block up a hill. That is what hurt my hip. Forget about the biting cold, it was the hill that was twice as long as the other side of the block. Today I got to see how many of use were being sponsored by the company. My friend didn't show up today. I was looking forward to seeing him today. A girl with us had gotten his number and had called him to find out what was going on, but he never answered his phone.

Today we were asked to show up at the office to see the partner and I was planing to go by this place on the way back by bus, but I didn't want to go back up the hill. I so I just took the subway back home. I stopped off at the pizza place up the street and got some garlic knots. I hate the cold. I keep feeling like one of these days my nose is just going to start bleeding. It's this weird feeling I get when I'm in the cold for too long. I think I'm just breathing too hard, and it's cracking the inside of my nose.

Ok, I may not go to sleep. I'll just take the book with me, and sit in bed with it and watch some tv at the same time. If I fall asleep, I fall asleep and I may not sleep in class tomorrow. I did learn that we will have something of a review on Friday. Good, I'm going to need it.

I think I covered most of it. Oh, Jhodie is saying that she is quitting KFC next week. If things work out, I will start working the same time she quits.

Well it's after 7pm now.

See ya.

Fwd: jhoy has sent you a recipe

I have never understood why people don't like to eat tomatoes. It's a complete puzzle to me.

But this looks like a great dish. Just give it a try.

========================================

Baked Tomatoes with Crusty Bread

You can view the complete recipe online at: http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/241195
BAKED TOMATOES WITH CRUSTY BREAD
3 (28-ounce) cans whole tomatoes in juice
3/4 stick unsalted butter, divided
2 medium onions, chopped
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
1/8 teaspoon ground allspice
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 tablespoon packed light brown sugar, or to taste
8 (1/4-inch-thick) slices good-quality white sandwich bread such as a pullman loaf

Preheat oven to 425°F with rack in middle. Butter a 3-quart baking dish (about 13 by 9 by 2 inches).
Drain tomatoes, reserving 1 cup juice, then chop.
Heat 2 tablespoons butter in a 5- to 6-quart heavy pot over medium-high heat until foam subsides, then cook onions with 1/2 teaspoon salt, stirring occasionally, until golden-brown, about 10 minutes. Add garlic, allspice, and cloves and cook, stirring, 1 minute.
Stir in tomatoes with reserved juice, thyme, brown sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon pepper and briskly simmer, uncovered, stirring occasionally, until thickened, about 20 minutes.
Meanwhile, melt remaining 1/2 stick butter and brush onto both sides of bread. Halve each slice.
Transfer tomato mixture to baking dish and top with bread, overlapping slightly. Bake until bubbling and bread is crisp and golden-brown, about 20 minutes.

===========================================

As for me, I didn't need that much courage the other day. It seems like there is something up with the extension to the HR department at the real estate place. Either which way, my mom called up the front desk and from there I was transfered to the right place.

I asked my questions, and I did find out a few things. One, I have to pay $40 for a book that I will be needing for the classes, and then there is $15 for the state exam. I will be paid every week on Friday for every "deal" that was closed by that time that I gave a showing for and a few other things.

So once mom gives me the $40, I'm off to start classes this Monday. Classes are from Monday to Saturday.

Today, but more like tonight, we went to get some work clothes. We spent more than I wanted, but we got some good tops and got to go to NJ.

We came home to a nice dinner that we made before we left. Coconut dumplings and salt fish with some pumpkin, bread fruit and dashen I think.

My mom wants me to go to church for my birthday. I don't want to, but that doesn't mean that I can tell her no. At least she made me a fruit cake for my birthday. She had to go out to get some red wind to pure over it this afternoon. She thought that the price was rather good for the big bottle she got. It's really cake wine. But not the one marked cake wine. The one is in the kinda square bottle with the Jewish writing on it.

Well that's it. I'm uploading some AMV's, then I'm going to check on some wallpaper that I uploaded to deviant art to see if I got any comments, then I'll go dig up a story to read before I have to wake up my mom in like two hours for work.

Night.
