Sunday, Rainy Sunday.

Today was a slightly odd day. I woke up kind early 6:30, to try to get to work for nine for a meeting. I wasn't early enough to take a bus there so I had to get an Uber with just an hour left to get there.

I got rained on my way there and the meeting was on the short side. It was slightly informative but like most meetings. But one person commented that it wasn't anything than something they could have told us at the meets we have before each shift. When I left it was raining even harder so I didn't bother going to the market like I wanted to and I came home.

Then my system just shut down and I have been fighting off sleep since I've got here, but I did manage to make dinner about an hour or so ago. Though it was just leftover chicken from when I tried to do a slow roast and didn't quite do it probably in the end. I added some sautéed vegetables. Eggplant, Squash, Onions, and Peppers. I also made some quinoa with some brown rice and then I reheated some stewed tomatoes with garlic in a few other things mixed in there. Yep, I got it out of a can.

I'm watching the Matrix trilogy on Roku channel right now. I should be typing really. That was my plan. I was gonna put the matrix on to play, then go to my computer and type on my story to get something out on Wattpad this weekend. I still have time if I can keep myself awake.

Cake day... kinda

Today was such a slow day. I just like laid in bed and read all day at one point I just ate cake. 

Yesterday was fun. Well, it really was fun even though I had to take an uber to work because I read when I started my shift incorrectly and then when I was coming home, the bus lady told me I couldn't use my electronic bus ticket only that they would accept my bus pass but not an actual ticket for per rides, so I have to start taking the 40 bus to work or just hope the next person doesn't make any fuss about it. 

I will see. Now I have to go to sleep early so I can get up early so I can buy school supplies. No, not for me. We are being told to buy school supplies to give to people so that we can look good for the charity that they made. Go figure.

4 (four) buses!

Today I bought a new phone for my cousin, older lady, living in Brooklyn. So I tried to leave home a little early since I was going in later for work so I could stop in at Cricket to buy her phone and add it more to my plan.

For the whole time I'm looking out for my bus to get me to work since I left later than I would have liked. Since I was in Elizabeth, I was going to give he bus until half past the hour before I got an Uber to get me there.

Then with about 10 mins left to go, one showed up. Then a second. Then a third and a fourth! A fourth! This would be why so many people were there waiting with me and didn't get on the other two buses that came by before.

Four buses, one right after the other making a line going down the block. This is why I gave up looking at their time table last year.

So, I'm working for 5 hours today. 4 pm till 9 pm. Let's see when I actually leave. Sunday my shift was 3 pm till 10 pm. I left at half past midnight. 😒 I had the next day off so I had just stayed and helped. So not much to gripe about.

So it's 3:33 now. I should make it to work in good time.

Popped up out of nowhere

For a moment I felt like I walked out of work and into Japan.

I'm sorry if I haven't seen a new kind of vending machine in ages.

But I was not the only one taking pics of this, so my reaction to seeing it wasn't that odd.

I had a short day at work today. 11 - 4. Tomorrow they will take it out of my hide. I work 2 - 10. I didn't bother buying anything to eat for breakfast or to eat after my shift so I will feel better when I call Uber to come get me tomorrow night.

I'm currently on the 40 bus as it makes its way through the port. A lot of shipping crates. I think that is what they are called. Those things that the 18 wheels move around the place. White wrapped cars along with a few trains and some piles of bricks and stones.

For all the lopping we make through this place we only drive by one small but of open water.

It's a nice little ride. I'm going to see if i can catch the 37 or 107 bus home on the highway. Yeah, odd I know.

Results

On a sobering note. Kinda.

I had a pap smear like 3 weeks ago I think, and I got a letter the other week saying that my results require a follow-up appointment.

I won't lie, there's no point. I first thought cancer. After all what else is a pap smear used for finding out? I thought I would look it up to make sure but I'm just getting around to it now, a week later, to see if there is anything else the test is used for.

No, I was right. It's to detect cancer or pre-cancerous cells. So when you read down the page, you get to this part.

"Depending on what the test results show, your doctor may recommend increasing the frequency of your Pap smears, or getting a closer look at your cervical tissue with a procedure called colposcopy. During a colposcopy exam, your doctor will use light and magnification to see vaginal and cervical tissues more clearly. In some cases, your doctor may also take a sample of your cervical tissue in a procedure called a biopsy."

This is where I'm at. I had to get a date for my colposcopy visit at least 3 weeks away because I can't request a day off any sooner from work. So on the 12th I'm going in find out if my cycle, that finished the day before, messed up the results or not.

And a week after that I got back for a double root canal and a repair of another root canal that seems to be incomplete. Yeah. July is going to be fun.
