Hello

I have to go back to Saturday.

Mother went off to church at a different place, so Nika stayed home. Jhodie already knew this and said that she was going to go to church with Nika just for sabbath school then come home. Then I was going to take her to Staten Island.

I knew from the night before that, that wasn't going to happen. The part where she takes her to Church. It was 3 in the morning and Jhodie was turning on the computer instead of going sleep.

Either which way, when mom saw that Jhodie wasn't making any real move to get up and get Nika ready for church, she said that she should have woken Nika up early so that she could have taken her with her. But It was too late by that time.

So the plan changed. We all sleep, then when ready we got up, have something to eat, then see what we want to to do. After the above said things, we cruised around Craigslist for abit looking at the free stuff that was more or less being tossed away that we couldn't get. But this time I found out that Jhodie and Phillys wanted a dresser to replace the one that Phillys currently has because it's starting to  fall apart. The front part to one of her draws fell off a few days ago. The child actually tried to blame us for it falling off. I told her that we didn't touch her stuff.

So now, they were calling up people to find out who know how to drive, so that they could rent a U-Hal to go and pick up few things. They even got me to call the one person I knew to see if he knew how to drive and was up for it. He didn't even get back to me until much later that day when I was already in Staten Island.

Speaking of which. Nika and I went there around 5 or so.We got the train and went to Bowling Green, then we walked around Battery Park for a bit before we went and got the boat over. Do you about these squares? Nika found them and every time we go past there she has to jump on them. They have bells under them, and you can hear them by jumping on them, if you are a little kid or a very light human. *grin* While we were there, other people came by and they tried them out too. Some didn't have much weight on them and had to jump to make the bells ring.

This time on the way over to the island, we were on the side that had the statue of liberty in full view. Nika tried to take a pic of it, but the cam on the phone just made it look very far away. That pic isn't even worth posting.

When we got off the boat this time we found the exit that would link up with the S44 this time so we would be there when it came. We didn't have to wait that long. We went past the mall that we got off at, and we pasted another one, and I asked the driver if that one was the Staten Island Mall. He said no and we sat down up front and waited. We went past some kind of Fair, and if we were set on getting to the Mall, we might have gotten off there. After a bit we started to see really big chain buildings. A really big PC Richards, A really big Sears, and so on. Then he pulled in and went through a very large parking lot and went past one Macy's and stopped infront of another Macy's and the driver said that this was the mall. Ok. We said thanks and got out.

Well this was a bust we are thinking. We were picking between Macy's that was right infront of us, and the Macy's Furniture Store that was just to the left. We went to the normal one. First we just had to make our way across the street that went though the parking lot, then across the parking lot infront of the building. This was the kind of parking lot that help you forget where you parked your car.

Well we got in and read the time on the door, they weren't going to be closed until 10pm. We got off the boat at 6:30pm I don't think we checked the time when we got off the bus or walked into the building. Nika picked Macy's because of the escalators. She likes riding the escalators. It didn't look like it, but there were three floors to the place. On the second floor, I stopped to use the bathroom, and Nika sent pics to Jhodie of the clothes that she liked and took pics of earlier.

When we ready to leave, we saw that they had a lower level. Might at well see was was down there.

=========================================================

It think that this is when I made it to the Staten Island Mall. I found this hanging out in my Drafts folder, so I'm posting it to get rid of it really, and to document the fact that we made it!

A little late to celebrate, but hey, better late then never. For somethings anyway.
